The Evers Group Rus company supported a new cycle of educational events on a national scale this year, dedicated to competent care of bedridden, seriously ill patients. The project called "School of Assistance to Palliative Patients" is being implemented by specialists of the Association of Professional Participants of Hospice Care in a team with Russian manufacturers of modern and effective medical products.
The goal of the School is to improve the quality of life of seriously ill patients, to form a competent approach to the treatment and care of such patients among medical specialists and to improve the process of organizing palliative medical care for residents of a specific region.
The next event was held in Voronezh at the Voronezh Regional Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center, and more than 80 specialists took part in its work.
The school was held for specialists with secondary medical education, junior nurses, medical organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Health of the Voronezh Region, working in the field of palliative medical care.
The lecture and practical lesson were given by Marina Gennadyevna Sokolova, an expert of the Federal Scientific and Practical Center for Palliative Medical Care of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution VO First Moscow State Medical University named after Sechenov of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, head of the Educational Events Department of the Association of Professional Participants in Hospice Care.
The arsenal of specialists caring for patients includes such modern medical products and cosmetics as preventive wipes, bedsore treatment gel, aerosol foam based on chitosan and dexpanthenol, wound coating “Khitokol”, ointment mesh bandages, wipes for the care of the anorectal area.
During the work of the School, interesting discussions, practical classes were held, aspects of communication with patients and relatives in the provision and organization of palliative medical care and many other issues were considered.
