On May 15-16, 2025, the VIII Congress of Surgeons of the South of Russia "Current Issues of Surgical Tactics in Modern Conditions" was held in Nalchik.
This event traditionally brings together hundreds of surgeons from the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts and specialists from all over Russia. This year, the key topic of the congress is devoted to emergency surgery, abdominal, thoracic and vascular, as well as the provision of surgical care in accordance with Clinical Guidelines.
Doctors of the Stavropol State Medical University and the Regional Clinical Hospital made a report on surgical intervention in patients with chronic arterial insufficiency and trophic ulcers of the lower extremities.
Vascular surgeon Vergasov Muradin Mustafayevich shared with colleagues the features of one-stage surgical intervention in such patients, and separately showed the tactics of using combined reconstruction. In his clinical examples, the doctor noted that good results in the treatment complex were achieved thanks to the use of our wound healing agents based on chitosan: Khitokol, EversLife-Gel.
Also within the framework of the congress, an educational project "Surgical practical training. Military field surgery for civilian surgeons" was held, organized by the Russian Society of Surgeons together with the N.N. Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital and the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy. Military doctors shared their clinical successes in saving field patients with their colleagues, discussed the results they had achieved in treating combat trauma. Such interaction and exchange of experience allow doctors to more effectively implement and implement modern treatment methods, and patients to receive highly professional care.
