The bactericidal dressing is based on an absorbent pad made of an innovative material impregnated with an antibacterial solution of benzalkonium chloride, which is produced under industrial conditions. Benzalkonium chloride exhibits fungicidal activity against fungi and bactericidal activity against certain gram-negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, and others) and gram-positive (including streptococci and staphylococci) microorganisms in circulating wound exudate.

This cleans the infected wound and prevents infection without the use of medications. The absorbency of the pad is 850 g/m², and the layer of the pad that comes into contact with the wound has an atraumatic structure, preventing secondary trauma to the wound during dressing changes.

The materials used in the manufacture of this bactericidal dressing provide wound protection for 24 hours, consistent with modern wound care practices, and ensure patient comfort. The dressings are radiation sterilized and individually packaged.

The undeniable advantage of bactericidal dressings is their sterility and single-use nature, which ensures constant readiness for use, simplifies the dressing procedure, and saves dressing materials. As a product of modern high technology, adhesive dressings are made of hypoallergenic materials with increased air and vapor permeability, which do not interfere with the normal healing process; they adhere firmly to the skin without leaving traces of irritation; they perfectly follow the natural contours of the body at the site of application; they do not restrict range of motion and do not shift.
