These wipes prevent microorganisms from entering the wound, absorb wound secretions, and protect against contamination. They are used to make surgical dressings. They are used both as ready-made wipes and for making surgical dressings.

Sterile wipes are packaged using a three-layer material. The inner polyethylene layer ensures a perfect seal. The outer polypropylene layer makes the packaging durable and completely impermeable to bacteria.
